RE:       Labor-Management Relations Training

In accordance with Article XXIV of the Agreement Between Passport Services and NFFE Local 1998, I request official time for all Local 1998 officials in the Seattle Passport Agency to receive Labor-Management Relations Training.  Mike Thorsteinson, representative of National Federation of Federal Employees has offered to provide us with this much needed training.  This training would include the range of issues dealing with representation of bargaining unit employees.  I am requesting 6 hours each, on June 8, for the following employees:  Bill Beardall, Colin Walle, Paul Peek, and one other individual yet to be named.  Since the current steward for the Seattle Agency, Bart Ozretich, will soon be leaving, we wish for the new steward or steward-appointee attend this training.  As soon as this appointment is official, I will provide you with that information.

I also request the use of the training room on the 33^rd to conduct this training.  We would be using this area from 8:15 am to 3:00 pm on June 8.
